MERE THINGS
Mere Things are gestures. There is a point in the work when the mechanics can become characters, and I would like my work to remain ambiguously in the middle. Between the gesture and the machine, an allusion to ourselves, in which gears, motors, and discarded bits become greater than the sum of their parts, and motion emotes.
